Benedetto Nicolini known as Benny

Benny was born in Modena in 1974. He attended the artistic high school at Liceo Artistico “Vittorio Veneto”in Turin, Italy.

He took the illustrator specialty at IED (Istituto Europeo di design)

The agency “Armando Testa” discovers him and his first appointment will be with them as visualizer for 7 years, then he works as freelance for many customers, including Lavazza, FCA, Birra Moretti, Cruciani, AcquaSant’Anna, BasicNet, Regione Lombardia, CONI Lombardia.. 

He collaborated and still works with important newspapers  (Corriere dello Sport, Panorama, Tuttosport, Guerin Sportivo, Libero, Dagospia, Il Giorno, Hurra’ Juventus, Calcio 2000, Torino Magazine and Il Caffe’).

He realized exhibitions, both on-man-show and collective ones: “The Art Of Benny” in 2007 , “Eleven Princes” in2011“Il Giovane Amante e la Vecchia Signora” in 2013,“SatirArt-Benny Nicolini” in 2018, "Now Something Completely Different- The Benny's Cinema" in 2020.

He took part to different national and international festivals and contests, winning a lot of awards, between these: “The Prize Forte dei Marmi for Satire” “Sporthumor”, “Fratelli d’Italia- 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy celebrated through pictures”, “World Humor Awards”, “Humor in Gallarate” 

and the prestigious “World Press Cartoon” (taking mention)
